Episode 48: Working On Your Business with Mike Kabeya

Happy Thanksgiving! Last week we discussed lessons learned in 2016 from the open and vulnerable leader, Mike Kabeya.

This week we focus on the future. A vision statement explains what fuels the company. It answers the question of ‘where’ are you going? It explains or gives a strategic direction of a future state for the company. A vision statement provides the inspiration for the entrepreneur, its leadership team, employees, vendors, and clients. You, the owner, are telling everyone where you are going. It is your destination for the journey.

Mike Kabeya of Kabeya Media is figuring out his vision. Listen in for a business planning discussion and strategies to answer Mike’s questions.

The E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber is a provocative read for this part of Mike’s journey, and if you haven’t read it, may be a good read for you as you plan the future. It will provide a different way of looking at your business. Look at it from a turn key, more systematic approach. Work on your business.

On December 17th 2016, join Nancy at Double Tree Park Place Hotel, St. Louis Park, Minnesota from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. She is interviewing small business owners for 2017 Entrepreneurial Leadership and Mentoring LAB programs. Are you ready to work on your business?

As a WeMentor Entrepreneurial Leadership and Mentoring LAB participant, you will investigate all aspects of running and growing a business as you write your life plan. At the same time, you will explore and experiment with new ways of leading; AS YOU LEAD. There are many organizations now that facilitate entrepreneurial development, and all of them are organized slightly differently, each with unique defining characteristics. WeMentor Entrepreneurial Leadership and Mentoring LAB training combines mentoring – both peer mentoring, and leader mentoring – with research-based entrepreneurial leadership development and a human development process.
