Episode 114: It Is Not Your Job To Save People Money, say what?

Iman Aghay showcases his business acumen with ideas to help you rethink how you are doing business. A personal example that almost cost Iman his life drives home this point to all leaders; IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO SAVE PEOPLE MONEY! That statement caught me off guard. Every business owner I know offers discounts to save people money. Click or Tap to Download

What is he talking about? In our skillful discussion about real value, excellent service, packaging, and understanding your market, Iman lays out how to think about irresistible packaging ideas for three types of customers: interested, qualified, and committed customers/clients/end users. His packaging ideas are key to a modern business where launching products and services online through social media platforms is now common-place.

Business coaching has exploded in the United States. It is a $1B industry. Coaching has become so common people brag about having a coach. Why has this industry taken off? The marketplace is volatile. We need to be nimble as we evolve with society and its changing habits. Learning how to launch products and services online is critical to success and staying viable. Innovation is more sophisticated in today’s society. Leaders need help to revolutionize how they live, lead, mentor, and work. They also need more coping skills and emotional intelligence to address complex issues in today’s world.

Iman shares lots of examples. Here are a few other concepts we talk about:

  • How he became an international public speaker.
  • How he stopped working like his Dad, discovered his passion, and focused in on his lifework.
  • Creating an irresistible offer charging $3,000/hour and $75,000 for an event that will generate $1M. How do you know when you have created an irresistible offer?
    • Lead Loss examples in retail.
    • Mass production aspect to an irresistible offer, special exclusive offers, and scarcity.
  • You are not in the business of convincing people to buy from you. People come to you for a specific result. They either see the value or not. You need to know your value and deliver excellence.
  • An alternative method to business planning in service sectors that engage three top follower-ships: potential customers, promotional partners, and production partners.
  • Figuring out a $1M idea. A million ways to make a million dollars. Quantity x quality x affordability ends up equaling a million-dollar idea. Depends on the size of the business. Apple should ask themselves if the idea is a $1B idea.
  • Never focus on giving people the least costly product or service. Why?
  • Service industries Iman sees who under-value their value the most.
  • When to fire a customer/client/end user.

Iman’s advice to you:

OWN your greatness! Don’t doubt every decision you make. What you focus on expands. Focus on the customers you want and the services you desire to provide. You can make a massive difference in the world!
