Episode 23: Winning Traits in Marriage Assists in Business Partnership Success

Deb & Jerry Pitzrick_2016Entrepreneurial leadership skills of calculated financial risk taking, adaptability, discernment, planning, and courage were nurtured as Deb and Jerry Pitzrick gained work experience and added to their emotional bank accounts (a phrase coined by Stephen Covey, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People). Deb acquired marketing and advertising skills, honed her operational management skills, and added practical systems and processes to managing their own money before founding her advertising and marketing consultancy.

Jerry amassed 24-years of civil engineering, management, and leadership experience with MA Mortenson Construction where he participated in the expansion of the company from $30M in annual revenue to $1B in 1994 before joining Deb in Pitzrick and Associates, Inc. Gradually they shifted their focus by combining their skill sets going after huge federally funded construction projects, e.g., Air Force Memorials, Federal Prisons, and the Smithsonian, the world’s largest museum and research complex.

Catch our third mentoring session, where we glean details of how Jerry sets up ‘project partnering’ relationships across three industries within the construction field: business owners, architects, and engineers. Listen for character traits of adaptability, discernment, trust, and planning. Learn how they adjusted responsibilities in their personal relationship to become solid business partners. This session is also filled with lots of practical advice and planning tips in creating a lifestyle that works for them. Decide what will work for you. Download This Episode
