Episode 178: Oops, I Did It Again

Mike Kabeya of Kabeya Media, was called into a spiritual reckoning in his late teens. To reach inner stability he self-selected isolation from others and spent hours in silence in his room. This is the first time he is speaking publicly about something he couldn’t discuss when living in the Republic of Congo many years ago.

His inner stability was achieved through the gift of resignation. Bit by bit, letting go. At the bottom of his physical and psychologically terrifying experience, a surprise. I was impressed with his insight at such a young age. You will be too.

You’ll discern:

  • How reckoning with earlier experiences can deepen your self-connection; where grounded confidence is mined.
  • The way your lifework can be viewed on a continuum. Mike’s new spiritual director designation doesn’t change his lifework. It is informing and deepening his work with Kabeya Media.
  • Why and how a Spiritual Director works.
  • Who and what the Divine cares about. How the Divine can work in your life.
  • How being a learner and gatherer of feedback with skilled mentors and coaches throughout your life can facilitate a less attached view of oneself.
  • The value in daily journaling and practices that feed your spirit and nourish your soul.
  • Working toward your highest destiny involves engaging our Chakras and Kundalini energies (a natural way to access your healing).
  • Summer Smoothie Recipe

Mentoring Activation Exercises

After listening, do the following:

  • Revisit a life changing experience in your youth. Through adult eyes, write down what happened in detail. No BS. Write down what you learned and the impression it made in your life. Write a new ending with what you have learned from that experience.
